Important note on 255 mm
- 255 mm is legitimate, but only where class rules specify it
- Most commonly seen in UK and European racing dinghy classes
- It sits between the two global norms:
- 230 mm (small dinghies)
- 300 mm (large dinghies / keelboats)
Simple Application
Applying our sail numbers is quick and straightforward, requiring only a clean, dry sail for best results. Each set is supplied on a carrier sheet—simply remove the backing, position the numbers on a clean, dry, flat surface, and use a squeegee to press them down and push out any air bubbles. Leave the sail dry for 24 hours to allow the adhesive to bond fully with the sailcloth, after which the numbers are ready for use and will stay securely in place for years, even when the sail is rolled or folded.
